Leaping Soul

My soul leaps

Bursts, bounds

Filled with words

Creativity

Soul seeks connection

How did they take you?

Drifting, floating

Swirling out of this world

Into the next

Hot wind sweeping

Towards my loves

Too far to touch

Run for safety

Leave books, possessions

Behind to burn

Keep my babies safe

Where do you reside?

Floating amid clouds

Transported to another

Place and time

How my heart has settled

Since that cold July day

Embraced my craziness

The fruits of my insanity

When will the stars, moon align

Be at peace

With my leaping soul
